1968 FENDER BASSMAN SILVERFACE 50W HEAD WITH MATCHING 2 X 10 SPEAKER CABINET.
A first year Silverface 50w. Bassman head. A pair of 6L6 power tubes, GZ34 rectifier, plus 3 7025's and 12AT7 in the preamp stage. This one has had the bass channel modified to a great sounding preamp tube based footswitchable overdrive stage for the guitar channel. The mod uses the existing knobs and jack sockets on faceplate, so easily returned to original spec without cosmetic issues. Paired with a custom built opened backed plywood cabinet in matching Fender tolex and grille cloth loaded with a pair of Eminence 10" AINiCo speakers. Classic Fender tone.

The clean channel has the exact same circuitry as used in the Custom amplifiers. The push-pull bright/normal switch offers the same dual channel principle of the Custom 100 and 50 models. Channel 2 dials the biggest sounding distortion with awesome bottom end for all your drop tuning requirements. It also has the option of foot-switch controls for channel switching. 50 watts from a pair of EL84's. Comes with the matching HiWatt cab loaded with a pair of 12" Fane speakers and the 4 button HiWatt footswitch. A few minor scuffs and marks on the tolex, but overall in very clean condition. A great rock and roll amp.
