1965 Mosrite Melobar. An original Melobar designed by Walt Smith and built by Semie Mosrite. Serial No. 022. Sunburst finish, 9 string, with the neck set at a 45 degree angle for upright playing. Mosrite guitar body (dated 1965 in cavity), Mosrite pickups, 3 way selector switch, pots and knobs, with chromed Melobar bridge, control plate and black and silver metal fretboard, slotted headstock with rear facing individual Kluson Deluxe tuners and metal logo badge. This one with an added machined brass bridge cap and a new brass nut, strung with a 9 string Sacred Steel extended E tuning (rather than the 5 string G major and 4 string A seventh suggested on the fretboard), else all original. Some general finish checking, a few very minor finish chips and marks, one filled additional tuner hole in the headstock, but overall in excellent condition. Nice light weight - sub. 8 lbs.
