1950's Magnatone Lap Steel and Amp Combo. Original matching grey pearloid finishes and in fine collector's condition.

The lap steel with a few marks on the 'felt' finish on the back and with one tuner shaft very slightly bent (not affecting use). The remains of some neatly applied numbering decals on the fretboard, else all original and in exceptionally good state. The usual big output and good tone from the concealed single coil pickup. Comes in the original case.

The matching Magnatone amp named "The Strad" (Associated Music Teachers Guild) on control panel. Single digit output from a 6V6 into a 6 inch speaker. On/off tone switch, volume, yellow pilot light and two inputs. Recently serviced with a new earthed power cord and plug fitted, else all original. 120v. U.S. power so a stepdown transformer required for local use. A little wear to the decorative coat of arms on the grille cloth, else in excellent state. OK, it's not particularly loud, so you're not going to leave your Dumble at home and go gigging with this, but it has sweet valve tone and looks very cool.

A very tasty all original lap & amp combination.
